Summer Day Camp Expenses

summer day camp expenses

If you’ve sent your children to summer day camp this summer, the money you spent may help you qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit on next year’s tax return.

It must be a day camp; overnight camps do not qualify.

If you pay someone to watch your child at home while you work, you may still qualify for a credit of up to 35% of what you pay.

To learn more about the Child and Dependent Care Credit and to find out if you qualify, go to IRS.gov.
